Jackie’s Bio
All about Jackie…
I have been driving for over 30 years; I live in South Liverpool with my partner, two daughters, my German Shepherd, Juno and my pet rabbit Willow. I love to be outside, so if I am not walking with my dog, camping in a field, walking up a mountain, you will find me in my beloved garden.
I am a qualified lecturer, Mentor and Social Worker, with a passion for helping people to identify goals, achieve them and progress to their full potential.
I am able to combine my previous experience as a coach, tutor and mentor, to give you a positive experience in learning to drive and of course pass yor driving test.
I have had several years’ experience working with all age groups, I also have worked with learners who have additional and specific needs
My learners tell me that I am organised, Professional and that I always adapt my lessons to suit their individual learning style. They tell me that I very patient, caring and compassionate. My learners often keep in touch with me long after they passed their driving test and show me their cars, introduce me to their family and to book additional lessons for advanced driving, Motorway procedures and to improve their defensive driving techniques.

Q & A
1. What did you do before becoming a Driving Instructor?
Company Director managing projects that worked with vulnerable families, I was also a lecturer in Adult Learning Services, teaching developmental courses, such as mentoring, Employability, communication skills
2. What has been your most interesting moment, while on a driving lesson?
I have had lots of interesting moments, some very funny, others very intense. I love to watch a learner develop in confidence, see the look on their face when they suddenly realise they can drive. My favourite parts are listening to those words – I am pleased to say you have passed.
I put my hand up to thank and on coming driver for letting us through and the learner thought I was high fiving them. When referencing the gap between the car wheels and the kerb when parked a learner referred to it as a Shoe foot instead of comparing to a size 5 shoe lol
Watching a learner approach a meeting situation in her early stages and she just took her hands of the wheel and covered her eyes, I suggested that was an interesting approach, but through Q&A we determined it wouldn’t be very effective. Luckily she saw the funny side.
I had a learner who was so effective in using her mirrors she would question me and ask what the colour of the car was behind – very cheeky lol.
The most intense moment was after teaching my daughter to drive, taking her to test and sitting in the back of the car, watching the test take place, I was so nervous, I am pleased to say she went on to pass first time with only two driver faults.
3. What has been your best, personal achievement so far?
With regards to the job, working with a women who left learning to drive to her late 30’’s she had tried to pass her test 5 times with previous instructors, she was about to give in. I picked her up and within 6 months she took her test and passed with only two driver faults.
Also the day I passed my Part 3 (qualified) with the help from Insight 2 Drive is one of my proudest moments as a driving instructor.
4. Did you pass your Driving Test first time?
I took my test when I was 17, I was eager to learn and pass, rushed my test date and failed. I was in Sixth form at the time and could no longer dedicate time to my lessons. I then went to university and drove a Motorbike, Later gaining my Motorbike license. I re took my driving test in 1984 with just 3 lessons and passed with no faults.
5. What hobbies do you have?
I love being outdoors – camping, walking and gardening.
I like to keep fit and attend the gym at least 3 times per week.
I love to spend time with my family.
And of course I love driving ha ha

I would highly recommend J2K Training! I’ve had a few driving instructors but Jackie is on another level to them. She will always give you the correct advice all the time. Even when I kept failing at some points, she didn’t get annoyed but she will take extra time to make sure you understand what’s going on. Always available if you have any questions so I’ll highly recommend her
I can’t recommend Jackie highly enough, she is a great teacher. Jackie is very knowledgeable about everything to do with driving and driving tests, has a great way of explaining things clearly, is very organised and reliable. I was a slightly unusual learner with a non-UK driving licence and many years driving experience. Jackie was great at tailoring her teaching to my needs, focusing on the rules I was a bit hazy on and ironing out any bad driving habits. With Jackie’s help, I felt very well prepared for my test. Apart from being a fantastic driving instructor, Jackie is a very positive person and always managed to lift my spirits, so that I was looking forward to our driving lessons. I would recommend Jackie to anybody looking to book lessons for themselves or their kids.
First of all, thank you to insight2drive for giving me lessons, as a whole the company has been nothing but stellar. Jackie and insight2drive were recommended to me via a work colleague and I simply can’t praise Jackie Bradley enough for her support, teaching style and patience throughout our journey.
Being a nervous person made the challenge of learning to drive more difficult for me, but Jackie is so attentive and really takes the time to get to know her students and knows the techniques needed to not only get the best out of them, but to place teaching styles within her lessons that really do help you learn all the skills you will need. That’s not only used for passing your test but to become a competent and confident driver afterwards.
Learning to drive is a challenge in itself but adding the pandemic to the mixture has certainly caused its own difficulties it’s a testament to Jackie that she has been able to schedule my lessons without disruption, and always willing to work with you to find appropriate times if something unexpected happens.
Though I am relieved to pass first time, I will certainly miss her company!
Jackie’s latest passes.
