All about PJ…
I am married, with two foster children and a 3 legged dog called Jake. I love nothing more than spending time with my family. We like to have as much fun as possible, and not take life too seriously. So, we are usually out on a new adventure, or winding each other up at home.
I am an experienced and passionate teacher who is calm under pressure and makes learning fun. With years of teaching experience, I understand that every learner is unique and requires an approach tailored to their individual needs, rather than a one-size-fits-all method. I want to help my students build confidence and develop the skills necessary to be safe, responsible drivers. I am patient, clear, and supportive with my teaching style and ensure that each lesson is both informative and enjoyable.

Q & A
1. What did you do before becoming a Driving Instructor?
I have worked many jobs, especially when I was younger and trying to find something I enjoyed. I have worked in Holland building ships (and testing them out at sea), welding tanks, and becoming a professional kayak instructor teaching young offenders and adults with additional needs. From these jobs I learnt working on ships is very dangerous! but I could keep calm under pressure. I also discovered my passion for teaching when seeing the difference a fun, calm and light-hearted teaching manner can have on my students ability to learn.
2. What has been your most interesting moment, while on a driving lesson?
When learning to drive myself, I didn’t realise I would enjoy driving and learning about driving.
3. What has been your best, personal achievement so far?
Probably my wedding day. I have a few achievements in my life, but marrying my wife has created us a happy and fun-filled life. I get to foster children, enjoy my hobbies, and have a job I enjoy. I couldn’t ask for more.
4. Did you pass your Driving Test first time?
Yes, with only one minor.
5. What hobbies do you have?
I love Golf, watching sports, gaming on my PS5 and binge-watching new TV shows with my wife.
