After teaching my son to drive, I discovered a genuine passion for driver training. Watching him succeed made me realise how much I value helping others gain confidence and learn vital life skills.

This experience inspired me to pursue a new career as a driving instructor. I’m a calm, patient individual, committed to helping learners develop safe driving habits and build their confidence from day one.

Q & A

1. What did you do before becoming a Driving Instructor?

I used to be a factory manager, producing firelighting products keeping everyone warm in Winter.

2. What has been your most interesting moment, while on a driving lesson?

Not on a lesson but when I was driving in Cornwall during the early days of satnav it tried to drive us off a cliff.

3. What has been your best, personal achievement so far?

Getting married and bringing up two children who have both flown the nest successfully.

4. Did you pass your Driving Test first time?

No, second time for me, 37 years ago

5. What hobbies do you have?

I like PC stuff and tech, electronics and flight sims. I’m always fixing things
